Website Enquiry Review

EXAMPLES ACROSS INDUSTRIES

Small changes.
A clearer next step.

See how a review turns a vague enquiry prompt into useful instructions for a customer.

These are fictional demonstrations, not client projects. Both the starting copy and the scenarios are invented. They show our approach; no improvement in enquiries or revenue has been measured.

EXAMPLE 01

BESPOKE FURNITURE

Make the first quote email easier to write

Suggested first step · copy change

The scenario: In this fictional contact page, the email address is visible but there is no guidance on what to send. A new visitor has to work out how much detail is needed.

FICTIONAL STARTING COPY

Made for your home.

Contact us to discuss your project.

SUGGESTED REWRITE

Tell us about the furniture you have in mind.

Email the type of furniture, approximate dimensions and your postcode. If you have a photo of the space or a reference image, include it too.

Why suggest it: A short checklist could give the customer a starting point and help the business assess the enquiry. It is a suggestion to test, not evidence of more sales.

Confirm before using: Ask the maker which details they actually need, whether approximate measurements are acceptable, and which areas they serve.

How to check: Ask a new visitor to draft an enquiry. Can they identify the useful information without searching another page?

EXAMPLE 02

ACCOUNTANCY

Separate a quote request from a consultation request

Suggested first step · copy change

The scenario: This fictional page offers two ways to start, followed by one general message box. The customer is not prompted to say which route they want.

FICTIONAL STARTING COPY

Let’s talk about your business.

Request a quote or book a consultation. Send us a message.

SUGGESTED REWRITE

Would you like an email quote or an initial conversation?

Tell us which you prefer. For a quote, briefly describe your business and the accounting services you need. For a conversation, include your preferred contact method.

Why suggest it: Naming the two choices in the instructions could help the team send the appropriate first reply. No new booking system is needed for this copy change.

Confirm before using: Check which consultation formats are available and whether a fee applies. Do not describe a consultation as free unless the business confirms it.

How to check: Try a quote enquiry and a consultation enquiry. Can the receiving team tell which response is expected?

EXAMPLE 03

COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Give an availability enquiry a useful brief

Suggested first step · copy change

The scenario: The fictional portfolio shows the work but the enquiry prompt does not ask for the information needed to discuss availability and scope.

FICTIONAL STARTING COPY

Let’s create something memorable.

Get in touch about your next shoot.

SUGGESTED REWRITE

Tell us what you need photographed, where and when.

Include the type of shoot, location, preferred date or date range, and how you plan to use the images. If the date is flexible, let us know.

Why suggest it: A few prompts could make the first message more useful. They avoid inventing package prices, availability or image-use rights.

Confirm before using: Ask the photographer which services and locations they cover and how they agree usage rights. This sample does not set licence terms.

How to check: Have someone draft a shoot enquiry from this page. Does it include enough detail to discuss the next step?

What a paid review adds

Your review uses observations and screenshots from your agreed three public pages, with priorities, suggested wording based on confirmed facts, and editable copy. It includes one consolidated revision requested within seven days of delivery.

The pilot is £79 total. For UK customers, that is £65.83 + £13.17 VAT. International enquiries are welcome; we agree language suitability, scope, applicable tax treatment and delivery before payment. Reviews use AI assistance.
